CTP is a cost-effective product derived from prestressed concrete pipe by omitting the steel cylinder. This article analyzes its positioning and advantages: while retaining the high crack resistance and pressure-bearing capacity brought by prestressing technology, its structure is relatively simplified, resulting in significantly lower costs compared to PCCP. It primarily serves medium-to-high pressure water transmission, drainage, and irrigation systems, making it an ideal choice for projects cost-sensitive yet unwilling to sacrifice key performance, such as regional water supply networks and large industrial park pressure drainage systems. The article also discusses the selection criteria between CTP and PCCP.
